I told myself I wouldn’t work on Brendan’s quilt until I completely finished the bedroom one, but I couldn’t help myself. I cut out the fabric for my ships and started my good old assembly line. I have ship hulls and all sails galore, all of which are sewn and pressed.

I finished the quilting on my bedroom quilt this weekend. My simple technique paid off. It was almost too easy.

I’m going to go with the simple “stitch in the ditch” technique. I think it will be the simplest and quickest way to finish this HUGE quilt. (And I really don’t know how to do much else.)

Nautical Quilt: 1st Block

Well, I tried out my first block, and look at how cute it is:
super adorable
I think I need to add a strip of “sky” across the top, and I plan on getting a solid blue to use for the sky. I think the sails don’t stand out as much as I’d like them to against that “net” print.
