I spent a good portion of Friday evening baking these little cuties:

Aunt Paula gave Lee a gingerbread house for Christmas. He let me help him decorate.

Every Christmas I order some petit fours from Swiss Colony for my mom. And every Christmas, I get a free order of chocolate truffles:

It’s win-win!

On cold snowy days, a mug of tea and some chocolate chip cookies are the best companions.

It’s a gray day here.
Perfect for hot apple cider and fresh-from-the-oven cinnamon bread. Yummy.

P.S. Also a perfect day for working on Caer Sullivan…
These are really addicting. I made a batch for the baby shower last weekend. Since only two cookies made it back home, I had to make another batch!

yummy!

In honor of Grandpa Leibbrand, we made donuts Thursday morning.

fresh donuts!
Sunday night we had a short, but strong storm. We lost our power for a spell, and stood on the front stoop watching the rain, wind in the trees, and lightning bolt across the sky.

In an effort to look/feel better, Brendan and I have been walking everyday this summer. I’ve also switched to diet soda and cereal for lunch. Anyhoo, a few days ago I picked up Starbucks for Brendan and decided I would get something for myself. I ordered my favorite drink: a small tall mocha frappuccino. Struck with instant guilt–I asked for a “lite” one. Big mistake. If you’re going to indulge in paying Starbucks’ prices, you should also indulge in the fat and yummy-ness.

I managed to finish my diet Starbucks, and thought I should pass on the information.
