Father’s Day

19 Jun

Happy 1st Father’s Day, Brendan!

6-16-13

We love you!

Love,

Tiff

P.S. Finna was in bed before I remembered I wanted a father/daughter photo, and I certainly wasn’t going to wake a sleeping baby!

Red, White, and Blue

The outfit Finna wore on Memorial Day:

I LOVE the lace-hemmed leggings! We went to IHOP in the morning and Finna was a wonderful girl.

Nursery Inspection

06 Jan

When my family came for New Year’s Eve, they got to see the cupcake’s nursery. The walls are still pretty bare and I have some work to do still, but I think there was enough stuff and little details to make the tour interesting. :)

Mom found the shoe drawer:

Sunday Visit with Family

19 Dec

My beautiful family met Brendan and me in Lafayette, Indiana for lunch and our Christmas present exchange. Brendan and I have an awesome new camera . . . Now if only we could remember to use it . . . These are sadly the few snapshots that we have:

And my favorite one, Grandma having a moment with the cupcake:

Christmas Tree

13 Dec

While heavy with child, I decided to keep our tree simple. It has lights, ribbon garland, silver bells, and a tree skirt. That’s it. And it is so beautiful in its simplicity. I LOVE it!

We bought a small (a little shorter than six feet) balsam fir for $25 at a local lot. Brendan and I had the idea to celebrate his Irish heritage with our lights this year; the tree looks like the Irish flag! The top has green lights, white lights in the center, and orange finish the bottom. The tree skirt is the one I made last year with the plain cream backing facing up this year to go with my simple theme.

The “burlap-esuqe” ribbon came from Michael’s and a snippet was used on my wreath last year. Plus, the ribbon reminds me of potato sacks–that’s Irish, right?! :)

My silver bells are from last year. I bought them at the dollar store and really want to get more because I love them so.

I also have our stockings and nativity on one of our side tables. I will need to take pictures, but that’s pretty much it in terms of Christmas decorating for this year. It’s cheery and makes me happy, but I can’t wait for the “help” I will have from a ten month old cupcake next year! Squeal!

Love,

Tiff

P.S. We may put the train around the tree, too. We shall see.
