I bought candy and baked the gingerbread on Friday.

I shopped for our meal over the weekend. Isn’t the tiny turkey cute?

I didn’t want to wrestle with an entire turkey, so I used a recipe I had found in the newspaper a few weeks back. Turkey breast stuffed with basil, salt and pepper, and Camembert cheese and wrapped with prosciutto. It was DELICIOUS!

Brendan chose mashed potatoes as the side with pumpkin pie for dessert.

It’s Simplicity 2459 size 18 months.

The fabrics came from Wal-Mart back in Michigan.

I love me some rickrack.

There are extra buttons on the strap to lengthen/shorten it. I like to think that Aeris can wear it for a long time and add leggings or pants when she’s taller.

I’ve left it unhemmed so that Mom can hem it to Kristin’s specifications. I’m going to send matching thread and a length of rickrack for the bottom as well.

Therefore, I sewed up a set of coasters that feature four popular athletic balls (football, soccer, baseball, and basketball) on one side and gray with scarlet “writing” on the other. The scarlet and gray coordinate with the living room and, more importantly, they are the colors for Ohio State University.
