My newest quilting books says I should buy fabric that I like when I see it because it may not be there later. It also said I should probably just get a quarter of a yard. Well, you don’t have to tell me to buy fabric twice! I like buying quarter yards, too, because it doesn’t feel like I’m spending a lot of money (Brendan may disagree on that point).
I finally found some backing fabric for Jeanette’s quilt! I knew I wanted green, and I found this material at Jo-Ann’s.

Not only did Brendan let me order Castle Peeps, he also let me get some of Heather Ross’s Far Far Away II fabric!

Back in April, I bought this adorable fabric from Jo-Ann’s to make myself a quilt.
Edit: The far left fabric with the scrolling green pattern is from Hobby Lobby.
I know this is fascinating, but I found the perfect tie backs for our drapes!
I am in LOVE with Lizzy House’s Castle Peeps fabric line. Because my husband is both kind and generous, he let me place an order with FabricWorm. After much anticipation, it has arrived!

I was too excited to iron it for a picture.
Lately I’ve been seeing mini-quilts online and wanted to try my hand at one. They are a great way to practice new techniques. I wanted to work on my appliqué skills and make my own binding, so I thought a mini quilt was the place to start.
