While busy with preparations for moving to Illinois, I was thinking about how I’ll probably never be in the U.P. again. So I decided to take some pictures of the places I regularly frequent. (Please forgive the quality of some of the following photos.)

By the end of March, Brendan and I will be living in Illinois. He took a job with his father’s company, and we gave our landlords our thirty day notice. Yesterday Brendan packed up the truck and left for Illinois.

I had the day off yesterday and spent it sewing! Here is the result of glorious, uninterrupted sewing time:
Michigan Tech University’s Winter Carnival was last week. The different groups (clubs, fraternities, sororities, etc) make snow/ice sculptures. Brendan and I walked around campus the next day to look at them. “Books” appear to be the theme this year.

More playing in the sewing room with my fabric stash. I just wanted to try out some more foundation piecing from my Quilter’s Ark book.

I still need to embroider some legs andĀ antennae. The pretty blue fabrics are from my friend Misty in TN.
