Welcome to SullivanRealm.net. Tiffany and I will have been married 4 years as of May 2010. We have lived in Knoxville, TN since we got married and plan on moving back to Ohio as soon as the economy allows it.
Right now, Tiffany is employed as an English teacher at Heritage High School in Blount County, TN. She teaches reading, literature, and honors literature freshman level classes. The 2009 year marks her 3rd year of teaching for Blount County. She enjoys writing grants for new books to teach her students, and is involved as a mentor for students researching their future college paths.
I am a software developer employed by Hawkins Computer Services of Alcoa, TN. We develop rental management software for the vacation rental management industry, and most of our clients are in or around Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, TN. Most of my programming experience is in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. I enjoy the jQuery Javascript Framework, and have experimented a bit with CakePHP. As I progress through my career, I would like to ultimately end up as a Systems Administrator. Towards this end, I am studying for my MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator) certification.
This site is not about anything in particular. The subjects of posts will be wildly varied. Tiffany is a voracious reader, is quickly finding that sewing is her favorite hobby, and also crochets, cross-stitches, and is almost as much of an internet addict as I am. I have fairly serious issues with my tastes. I love everything from video games to classical music, cars, motorcycles, programming and scripting, reading, and am infatuated with essentially any new “must-have” gadget on the market. I am also a daily Linux user with my desktop, server,Tiff’s laptop, and even my Playstation 3 all running variations of Ubuntu Linux, with only my dedicated gaming machine running a dualboot WinXP/Win7. I will admit that my server runs VMware Server with 2 WinXP virtual machines for the various (and thankfully rare) times I find I need a Windows machine to do some work.
