Brendan & Tiffany Sullivan

Brendan and I have six panel white doors throughout our house. With the blue and gray walls on the main level, I thought black doors would make a striking contrast with the white trim and cool colors. Brendan indulged my fancy and painted the closet doors and the utility and powder room doors. And since the weather was SO HOT, he painted them inside.

And instead of buying silver hinges (for $13 a door), Brendan sanded the gold ones down to their original silver.

We did buy silver handles for the doors. Aren’t the doors awesome?

P.S. Those are the stair railings to the left of the closet. Brendan has plans to paint those black too.
