Happy Fall, Y’all!

24 Sep

Our front porch was looking a little sad, especially after our neighbor put out fall flowers, a wreath, and even a scarecrow. After decorating the bank for fall, I was definitely in the mood to make my home festive, too. Thankfully Hobby Lobby and Michael’s had their fall decor items on sale.

I purchased the little pumpkins at Hobby Lobby along with a garland of fall leaves that I cut up for the wreath. The mums are from Mom Sullivan purchased through Lee’s school. And everything else is from Michael’s.

I embellished the grapevine wreath with my trusty glue gun, fall leaves, miniature gourds, and some wired ribbon. I’m pretty pleased with the results. (Mom, you will have to show me how to make a wire-ribbon bow; yours are the best!)

Now I just wish I used the front door so I could enjoy my efforts more.

Love,

Tiff

P.S. My faux pumpkins aren’t obviously fake looking, are they? I just really liked the idea of being able to reuse them every year since I have no real interest in carving the real ones or dealing with getting rid of them at the end of the season.

YAY!!!! I can see your blog again from work!!!!
I LOVE your fall decorations. Even if you don’t use the front door you get to drive by it and go “hmmm what a pretty house that is!”. Your wreath creation is perfect, even your wreath hanger is especially pretty. I love you!
