Earlier this week, I went to the park in Maryville with my good friend, Lelia, to feed the ducks. As I walked along the trail to meet up with her, I saw this:
A bat!
It was just lying on the path screeching/clicking at me. I stayed back and used the zoom on my camera; I had no desire to become a vampire.
Have I mentioned before how much I love our parks?
Not as exciting as the bat, I also saw this bird:

fun! i hope the bat was okay, that seems strange to have one out at day and on the ground, right?

I thought it was strange, too. When I walked back after meeting my friend, it was gone. I don’t know if it flew away, someone rescued it, or if it was maybe picked up by another animal.
