I recently went to McKay’s and added two books to my sewing library. The first is a comprehensive sewing guide called Singer Sewing Book. For only $2.50, how could I resist that cover?

I love the colors.
It’s from 1972 and covers everything I could possibly need to know about sewing terms and techniques. Plus, the pictures and diagrams are fabulous.

The second book is Adventures in Toy-Making.

It has all kinds of patterns and instructions for making a variety of stuffed animals.

Look at the cute elephants.

I’ll have to add them to my list of projects.
My two favorite things: sewing and books!

You must have been a very happy girl to discover such gems.
