I always loved the “Feed the Birds” song in Mary Poppins. In the spirit of that moving song, I purchased bird feeders for our balcony.
The suet feeder has been outside for almost a month. I had only seen evidence of bird use (chunks were missing), but I never saw any birds on it until this past week.
This little guy is my favorite.
The traditional feeder was only out for a day before I saw birds feasting on it regularly.
The birds are still skittish and flutter off when they see me by the window. Thus, my pictures are few and poor besides. However, I will be diligent and hope to catch a picture of the pretty cardinal and the other birds who visit my balcony.

That will be fun to watch, maybe they will get comfortable enough that you can eat your breakfast this summer at your table and watch them come and go. Make sure your feeders are not near your bikes or you will need to wash them before you ride them…if you know what I mean…
