I'm glad you found the tutorial useful. Unfortunately I have not had time to get the new door speakers in. I would, however, suggest trying a layer of 1/2" or 3/4" MDF and cutting it to match the shape of the original speaker. The spectra/cerato needs about 3/4" for MY speakers to clear the window when it's rolled down. Not sure which speakers you have, but you may need more or less clearance than mine.
